Things to do in Copenhagen,
Denmark!
There are a lot of things to do in the Danish capital
Copenhagen. Here are three ideas:
* Take a canal tour with the tour boats. Either with
Netto-Bådene (30 dkk) or DFDS Canal Tours (60 dkk). You find
both of the tour companies down in Nyhamn at Heibersgade. We
recommend the cheaper Netto Bådene, as we have tried them a couple of
times and never been disappointed. They departure every day
10 am - 5 pm from 24 March to 21 October.
The tour takes about 60 minutes and you'll see a lot
of Copenhagen from the water front. Along the
tour a guide will give you information,
about the sights you pass, in Danish, English,
French and German.
The tour highlights include: The
Little Mermaid, The old
Stock-Exchange, Christianshavns Canal, Christiansborg Palace
- seat for the Danish parliment, the Copenhagen Opera House.
* Visit the the sports arena called Parken on Öster Alle 50,
2100 Köbenhavn Ö. It's the home ground for both FC
Copenhagen called FCK and the Danish national soccer team.
They also host some conserts during the summer and over the
past years Parken has hosted concerts with Michael Jackson, Bruce
Springsteen, Metallica, U2, Rolling Stones and Robbie
Williams and many more. It's also possible to get a guided
tour at Parken. The tour costs 50 dkk and can be ordered
by phone nr: +45 35 43 31 31.
* Visit Carlsberg Brewery Visitors Centre and find out if
their slogan is correct: "Probably the best beer in the
world". The Carlsberg Visitor Centre offers a self guided
tour and you also get the chanche to taste some beer during
the tour. They also have an enormous collection of old beer
bottles. You will find the Carlsberg Visitor
Centre on Gamle
Carlsberg Vej 11, 2500 Köbenhavn Vallby. Phone: +45 33 27 13
14. Opening hours are Tuesday - Sunday 10 am - 4 pm. The
tour costs 40 dkk and that includes two tickets for beer
tasting. You can choose from a wide selection of Jacobsen,
Carlsberg an Tuborg products.
