Question: I am going to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada and heard that there is a sea monster there. Is this true?

Answer: There is a legend about a monster living in the Okanagan Lake. His name is the Ogopogo. He is said to be a relative to the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland. There are many who claim to have seen the Ogopogo and even videos of some of the encounters. Unfortunately the videos are not so clear and are too far away from the ‘monster’ to confirm his existense. Okanagan Lake goes from Penticton in the South to Vernon in the North, which is about 115 km.

Question: I am taking a trip and I will be flying from Chicago to Las Angeles and have heard a rumour that it is ok to have a ciggaret lighter in my carry on again. Is this true?

Answer: Yes this is true. As of the 4th of August 2007, Ciggaret lighters are allowed in the on domestic American flights. Each year about 22 000 ciggaret lighters are confinscated in american airports. This keeps security people busy and they might miss something much more dangerous and that is why they are allowing them again. This will hopefully help shorten some of the lines through security.

Question: Going to the US from Sweden. Stupid as I was I booked 3 straight months. September 15 - December 15. I have now realized that this mean I will be there for 92 days. Two days too much. What should I do? Apply for a Visa for the 2 days, re-schedule my trip or just ignore it and take a chance. If I re-schedule my ticket I have to pay a fee for that.

Answer: Our advise is that you take the cost to re-schedule your ticket and make your stay maximum 90 days or apply for a Visa for the exra days. What we don’t suggest is that you just ignore it and hope for the best. If you arrive to USA with a wrong ticket you could end up not being allowed to get into the country. Or maybe you get in but on your way home the authorities notice that you stayed to long and then you may end up being banned from USA for years to come and possibly for life. It is most likely that they will notice when you try to enter the next time as everything is computerized. And remember if something happens after day 90 you are in the USA illegally and can get in serious trouble.
